Colorado Snow almost ruined our Christmas!
My brother and his family live near Colorado Springs. They were scheduled to drive out here the Friday before Christmas and celebrate the holiday with us on Christmas Eve. However, they were literally snowed in at home and not able to leave as scheduled. The trip was actually called off, but then they found out that the county could come get them out with a snow plow and a motor grader. My kids were VERY disappointed when it looked like the cousins would not be here for Christmas. Those county workers sure saved our holiday!
The week was great. They spent some with us and some with my brother's in-laws. We had our Christmas Eve holiday, a day at Universal Studios, and even a day to introduce them to geocaching (found 2 new ones in Costa Mesa). The last day was unscheduled, but the new storm going through Colorado made them to decide to stay an extra day -- so the Colorado snow actually made the holiday better for us!

The weatherguys here kept trying to say it was going to snow. Just short of out and out saying it would be here.
Nope, just some frost and ice. No Snow.
