Jet Lag?

I traveled to New Zealand in December = 21 hours ahead of my home.

The following week I traveled to Sweden = 9 hours ahead of my home and 12 hours behind where I had been the week before (talk about turning the schedule around).

This week I am in the United Kingdom = 9 hours ahead of my home.

Jet Lag? I have to admit that I have felt some minor effects during this travel. However, it really has not hit me like I thought it would. I'm told that day 2 is often the worst day -- I'll see how tomorrow goes.

Maybe I am a "Travel Savant" when it comes to Jet Lag?

Crewe Hall

An unexpected business trip to UK came up recently. I flew out from home on Saturday (my wedding anniversary - 22 years!). The anniversary celebration has been delayed slightly. However, after around 18 hours of travel I arrived in Crewe, UK. I am staying at a place built in the 1600s called Crewe Hall. However, I am staying in a new area that just opened up a few weeks ago. Quite a difference! Anyway, I did registration in the old part of the building. It was very impressive driving up -- and will probably be more so tomorrow when it is light out.

I don't have a camera with me this time, so I'll have to work with internet pictures for any updates. It was gloomy and gray when I transferred in London, so it would probably not be good picture weather anyway.

That's it for this quick note. Time for some dinner, a little reading to prep for tomorrow, then sleep time.

100 Squares

My grandmother-in-law (my mother-in-law's mother) turns 100 years old today. The family went to visit her last weekend. One of the gifts we brought was a quilt that my wife made with 100 fabric squares - 1 per year. Not only was it very cool (as are all of her quilts - she has made over 50 at this point), but she made it from start to finish in 1 week! Normally they take from several months to a number of years to make one.

I don't have a very good picture to share, but I will try to post some later. Here is what I have for now.

Groundhog Day

To celebrate the day last weekend, I introduced Hayley to the movie. It is still a classic - so much so that I just added it as a favorite in my profile!
