Haircuts and Dental Work

Boy do I feel ripped off when I get a haircut. As seen in the pictures below, I have less to cut every year. However, I still have the pay the same price as Andrew, with his full head of hair, when we go together.

I feel vindicated though when I get my teeth cleaned. I seem to be one of those rare people with all 32 teeth (wisdom teeth and all). My price for a teeth cleaning is the same as someone that has less than the full 32.

I guess flat rate pricing can work for you and against you!

Tina has been cutting my hair for the most part over the last 19 somthing years. With the exception of a barber in Canada named Ken.

The cleaning thing you got me on. you are definatly getting more bang for the buck.

I'll bet my haircut costs more than yours - but I only get mine cut when it's long enough to make me crazy. I usually go for a shortish cut, and let it grow out past my shoulders. So every 6 months or so, I spend $30 on a haircut. Does that even things out?

Tina -- Have you ever thought of growing it out enough and then donating to Locks of Love? If you are not familiar with them, look them up on the internet. They use the hair to make wigs for cancer patients. Bethany has done that twice, but you have to get at least 10" or so.

I can't wait 6 months for a haircut, so I spend at least as much as you do over a 6 month period. Doesn't seem fair!

Diana has donated to Locks of Love. I think it's a great idea.

However, I dye my hair, and it's in various stages of going grey. Some of it is curly and some is straight. It's just weird.

I think the last time I asked, they said they like the undyed "normal" hair. :)

eek! I looked up Locks of Love on Google and there's a huge controversy on how many wigs are actually created and how they sell hair to make money!

Apparently there's a shortage of wig makers, and only 300 or so are made a year. Then the recipients have to provide photos and letters of recommendation to be considered for a wig. And then they have to pay something based on their financial situation.

Locks of Love makes about 300K annually in the process.

I had no clue. Thanks for the impetus to look that up!
