First Day of School

Today is the first day of school for our girls. The boy started his 2nd year of college a couple of weeks ago.

Bethany starts High School. Hayley is in her "rule the school" 6th grade mode (i.e., last year of elementary school). They both seem excited to some degree about school starting.

Anyway, not a bad way to start. 2 days of school and then the weekend. I don't remember ever getting a break like that.

Actually in 1972 we did just that. School started on thursday that year.

Why would you remember that?

Connor & I started on Tuesday. Diana started on Wednesday, because they let the freshmen do a day at the high school for orientation before the rest of the students come.

I have pictures to post on my blog for Connor & Diana. Trevor will start OIT on the 24th.

My mom thought it was really stupid and kept repeating that it made no sense. I think she blamed Carter....

Even though it happened in 1972, I can still accurately make the statement that I don't remember. :-P
