Doo Doo Doo Looking Out My...

... uh, work window. For anyone too young to know, that is a take-off from a Creedence Clearwater Revival song.

Anyway, this picture was a nice sunset that I caught while looking out my work window last month. I am on the 3rd floor of a building next to the Irvine Spectrum. The neon lights to the left of the photo are a 21 screen theater. Cheesecake Factory is across the street. The lower part of the picture shows the front area of the building with trees and the lights pointing up into them.

Of course the highlights of the photo are Saddleback Mountain in the distance and the moon rising above it.

I wish I had a better camera with me for this than the camera on my phone. It could have been a really nice photo then. However, I'll settle for this and be happy.

Very fond memories of riding to the top of Saddleback in the back of Byron's pickup. One full moon night we were out there with two trucks launching waterballoons straight up into the air with a giant slingshot. You couldn't see it and were sure it was coming straight for you so you'd run, just as likely to run into it as away from it...Irvine didn't have a skyline yet

Weren't there Hot Springs up there?

We have some Hot Springs between us & Diamond Lake, but all the nekkid hippie people are in there, so after the initial "DON'T LOOK, KIDS!!" we didn't go back...

I think your camera phone takes better photos than many I've seen, actually, Rob :)

There are hot springs further south - inland from San Juan Capistrano.

The water balloon launching sounds fun. Sounds like something that needs to be recreated at Lake Cuyamaca in August!

Whatever you want....We could do a fishing derby, spelling bee, set up a trivia game for the kids about their parents, talent show, or just do nothing. I'm hoping you'll do some geocache stuff if you have time

If there isn't one around, we can create one ;)

I think my kids are gonna know most of the trivia about me.. *I* still don't know all the trivia about LEE.

Well Tina, I can tell you Lee did not brutally murder chickens with an axe. Unlike some others.
