The Reunion
Major kudos to FlyingVan and family for their hosting of a reunion of various high school / college years friends this past weekend. Everyone in the family had a great time. The problem with reunions is that they are often fun for those that were there and wicked boring for those that were not. This was not the case here. The kids had a great time, the spouses seemed to enjoy it, and there was plenty of variety in food and activities for everyone.
It was great to see everyone, but also equally great to have a fun weekend for the entire family.

I truly enjoyed the weekend and I am sorry we missed the second geocache, but I have now learned we need to do those type of things with the kids early rather than later and we will have less whining! Also, you were right about the spouses having a good time as well. Carl really enjoyed meeting some people for the first time (even though that is usually not his thing!) He is not a real "people" person, but he had so many common interests with most of the other guys there, he really had a good time. For that I am truly thankful. That and the low bug count! :P
We didn't get enough time with you & Celeste :(
Next time we'll make sure we are alongside wherever you are staying to ensure that doesn't happen again.
